“The Mighty Esox” original cover painting

The Mighty Esox — Original Watercolor Cover Painting

Own the original artwork that became the cover of The Mighty Esox. This one-of-a-kind 20″ x 16″ watercolor painting was created by G. Edward Martin, author and illustrator of the novel, and served as the original visual foundation for the book’s cover.

Rich with symbolism, the painting brings together the natural and spiritual worlds through the mighty fish at its center, celestial imagery, water, wildlife, berries, mushrooms, a dreamcatcher, and other elements woven into the story. Its layered composition captures the mystical, nature-centered atmosphere of The Mighty Esox in the actual artwork from which readers first encounter the book.

This is the original painting—not a print or reproduction. As the book’s original cover artwork, it is a unique piece of literary history and the only one of its kind.
